At SandHills Design Studio, this is more than a tagline — it defines how we approach every project.
We are a full-service residential design and pre-construction planning firm specializing in tear-down rebuilds, new single-family homes, ADUs, additions, renovations, and select light commercial developments across California.
We have particular expertise in light-gauge steel framing systems, delivering design solutions that prioritize structural performance, fire resistance, durability, and construction efficiency.
Our work begins before design.
We start with feasibility analysis — evaluating zoning regulations, site constraints, buildable envelope, soil conditions, and civil requirements — so risks are identified early and decisions are grounded in reality.
From there, we develop coordinated building design and construction documents, including architectural layout plans, structural system coordination (steel or conventional framing), and energy compliance documentation. Our permit-ready drawing packages are prepared to support efficient city submittal and streamlined review.
Where required by law, engineering and other licensed professional services are provided through qualified consultants.
